Dhanush is relieved now. His much-hyped Pudhupettai managed to complete its 50-days run recently. Considering the drubbing his recent films received, Pudhupettai has given him great solace.

Says Dhanush, 'The movie had a tremendous opening. It has managed to leave a positive impression among the masses'.

Heaping laurels on his brother Selvaraghavan, Dhanush said, 'But for him, I would have been nowhere. He has given me two big films - Kadhal Kondein and Pudhupettai. It was a great learning experience to work with him. He is a perfectionist and expects the same from his artistes'.

After a heavy stuff in Pudhupettai, Dhanush has a hilarious outing in Thiruvilayadal. Dhanush, who had made rapid strides as actor, is also planning to wield the megaphone. 'It's very far. But when I direct, I assure that I would render a quality product'.
