Srikanth's long-pending Sathurangam is confirmed for a release on 6 January.

The movie has Srikanth and director Karu Palaniappan coming together after their success in Parthiban Kanavu.

The movie featuring Srikanth and Sonia Agarawal in the lead roles has musical score by Vidyasagar.

The movie went to floors almost a couple of years ago. However it has not graced theatres since then due to financial constraints.

Srikanth plays a scribe in the movie. He says, 'the movie has come out really well. I am confident that the delayed release will not affect its prospects at the box-office'.
