Shaam's Manadodu Mazhaikalam is progressing at a rapid pace. The movie being directed by Arputhan marks the debut of Malluwood actress Nithya Dass.

Taking a break from her busy schedule, Nithya Dass, says, 'I am lucky to make my debut with such an emotional and romantic film. When director Arputhan narrated the story, I was greatly moved and decided immediately to accept the offer'.

On Malayalam girls being busy in Tamil, Nithya Dass says 'art and entertainment knows no language barrier'.

According to Arputhan, 'it is a campus love story. The movie begins in a college and ends in the same campus. A novel storyline which the audience would not have seen before.'

'Shaam and Nithya Dass have done their best and so far the movie has shaped up well', he says and adds, 'with the audience appreciating novel themes these days, I am hopeful that my movie would have a good reception'.
