'One day' wonders

IFFI 2005 has already had its share of 'one-day' wonders. Urmila Matondkar, who was on stage for the IFFI inauguration, performing dance numbers culled out from some of the biggest Hindi films made down the decades. She flew back to Mumbai the next day. Rimi Sen, here for a special screening of "Deewana Huye Paagal", did likewise.
Bipasha Basu, who served as the 'thaali' girl at the inaugural lamp lighting ceremony, was gone before you could say bye.
Sameera Reddy landed here Saturday for the screening of the Bengali-language Indian Panorama film "Kaalpurush". She left Sunday after addressing a press conference.
Sarika, who recently made a comeback in an already forgotten film "Kal - Yesterday and Tomorrow", is an exception. In Goa to represent Rahul Dholakia's "Parzania", she has been one of the more visible stars at IFFI this year.
Must say that she still is a sight for sore eyes.
