At least three movies seem to have closed on the Christmas weekend as the period when they get released.

'Dosti - Friends Forever', 'Vaah! Life Ho Toh Aisi' and 'Holiday' are three such movies that have closed on 23rd December as their release date. And this is not just in the trade announcements. That leaves two movies that have a possibility of making it on the same Friday [as per the initial announcements] - 'Team - The Force' starring Sohail Khan, Amrita Arora, Aarti Chhabria and Yash Tonk and Raj Kumar Santoshi's 'Family - Ties Of Blood'.

By the look of things, 'Team' certainly seems to be in a direction when it would be pushed as there is just about a month remaining and there is still not a single word on the publicity front. On the other hand one assumes that 'Family' too may get postponed for two reasons. One, it was the last of all to be announced.

Two, no film maker would want two Akshay Kumar films to clash. Though it would have been a different matter if 'Family' would have been announced first as in that case other movies would have conveniently made way for it due to it being the BIGGEST project of the five movies as mentioned above.
