Meera Jasmine is choosy about her films. And with reason.

‘Though I do less number of films, I want them to leave an impression,’ she says with a cute smile.

Meera Jasmine is not a actress who will do any movie that come her way. She has lot of principles.

She says, 'there is more to life than doing glamour girl roles and I would never do a film with which I am not comfortable. My criterion is that I should enjoy what I am doing'.

Meera is currently busy doing two movies in Malayalam and Tamil each.

Talking of the national award she won last year, Meera says, 'to be the best actress in India is a big responsibility and I feel happy and proud.’

She won the award for her nuanced performance in Shahina.

‘Shahina was a very different role, which I would rate as my career best. All credit goes to director T V Chandran’.

Meera is not ready to rest on her laurels. ‘Now I am all set for a bigger innings in both Tamil and Malayalam’, she says.
