Sarath Kumar will be playing a journalist in his 100th film Thalaimagan. Directed by a debutant R D Balaji, Thalaimagan has Nayantra opposite him. The film went on the floors today at a gala function in a star hotel in Chennai.

Speaking about the movie, Sarath Kumar says, ' everyone knew me as an actor cum producer. However many of them don't know that I worked for a Tamil newspaper in Bangalore. Fittingly in my 100th film, I play a journalist, a role which I relish very much'.

Sarathkumar, who is also busy otherwise as a politician, says he is committed to his main profession. 'I am here to stay and do more films. Perhaps I may love to even act in villain roles'.

Now that is interesting!
