She has been in the waiting for long.

But Priyamani, the actress in question, hopes that her patience over Balu Mahendra's Athu Oru Kanaa Kaalam, in which she plays a glamorous role opposite Dhanush, will give her the right break. A break that eluded her in Bharathiraja's Kangalal Kaidhu Sei.

But she has other reasons to feel happy as she has been cast as the heroine of Ameer's next Paruthy Veeran.

Priyamani says, "as soon as I knew I was to play a village girl character in Paruthy Veeran, I started getting myself ready for it. It's indeed a great joy to be part of Ameer's film."

'For the movie, I have to wear a half sari and travel by bullock cart. It's all a new experience for me and I hope to deliver my best".

Meanwhile, Priyamani considers appreciation from Balu Mahendra for her performance in Athu Oru Kanaa Kaalam as a rare achievement, which she says, is equivalent to winning a national award.
