This time too the theme is socio-political with the 'business' of kidnapping and ransom as its theme.

Overall starcast is interesting enough as Nana Patekar is roped in too for a powerful parallel role alongside Devgan.

With the number of Diwali releases increasing with very passing week, one wonders if it would be a wise move to release 'Apharan' on the festive occasion of Diwali when people would in fact be looking for more 'feel good' or 'masala' movies during the season?
