There was a great fascination for shooting movies abroad in Kollywood.

But with burgeoning production costs producers and directors are taking the easy route --- to the southern Districts of Tamil Nadu

Currently three films of big actors are being churned out in the southern districts of Tamil Nadu.

While Vijay starrer Sivakasi is on at full flow in Karaikudi, Vikram's Maja is being shot in Pollachi and Prashanth's Thagappansamy at Thiruvannamalai.

Not a bad idea, on the whole.
