When launched about a year back, it was announced that Amitabh Bachchan, Sharmila Tagore, John Abraham starrer 'Viruddh' would be made in two languages - Hindi and English, with the English version being called 'Versus'.

Director Mahesh Manjrekar, who has been going through a rough phase for quite some time, was also highly excited about the prospect of directing a bilingual and the news was flashed all over.

Wonder what happened to the English version over the course of last one year with 'Viruddh' now confirmed for 22nd July release?

Nevertheless, one is looking forward to this emotional saga about relationships and the fight back by a father who has been pushed to a corner after the death of his only son.

Another highlight of the film would be to witness the father-son chemistry of Amitabh and John who were last seen clashing with each other for Bipasha Basu in Vikram Bhatt's 'Aetbaar'.
