Having failed in gathering concrete clues on the blasts in cinema halls here, Delhi Police Tuesday announced a reward of Rs.100,000 for information on the explosions that killed a man and injured 60 people.

The blasts occurred within 30 minutes of each other at the Liberty theatre and the Satyam multiplex Sunday during the screening of "Jo Bole So Nihaal". Theatres across the capital and in neighboring states have since withdrawn the controversial film.

The police announced the telephone numbers - (011) 23490310/11/12 - at which people could provide information related to the blasts and assured the identity of callers would be kept confidential.

The forensic report on the explosives used in Sunday's blasts was awaited, and this could help point to the group or individuals involved in the attacks, police said.

Joint Commissioner of Police (Special Cell) Karnail Singh told reporters Tuesday: "According to the watchman at Liberty theatre, two couples left the venue around 15-20 minutes before the blasts. We are probing this and talking to the injured for information."

Police are also probing whether suspected Lashker-e-Taiba (LeT) guerrilla Mohammad Ishaq Ittoo, arrested in south Delhi's Safdarjung area Sunday night, had any link to the blasts.

Ittoo was arrested with 5.5 kg of RDX, two electronic detonators and Rs.250,000 in cash.

Police are also investigating a small explosion at Nand Nagri in northeast Delhi Monday that injured one person.

Sikh groups had demanded that "Jo Bole So Nihaal" be banned, saying its title and scenes showing a Sikh man being chased by scantily clad women offended the religious sentiments of the community.
