A film on mercy killing by noted national acclaimed director P Seshadri for Basanth Kumar Patil Basanth Productions` Vidaaya` starring popular actress Lakshmi Gopalaswamy and Suchindra Prasad hitting the silver screen on Friday in a few theatres. After a car accident Vasuki is not able to move and he is lying like a vegetable on bed. His brain is functioning and he speaks from his eyes. Meera is the only bread earner with two children. Vasuki demand that he wants to die. On his request Meera consult the judiciary for mercy killing.

The appeal is rejected. Vasuki in poor condition is brought to the nature cure center. The position does not improve. Director Seshadri leaves it to the assumption of the audience in the end. The film is based on Arun Shanbag who was in similar condition for 42 years and finally bid goodbye recently. Sabha Kumar is cameraman, Raju has done background score. Kemparaj art direction adds support to the film. Lakshmi Gopalaswamy, Suchindra Prasad, HG Dattatreya, Shashikumar, Purushottama Talavata, Archana Sridhar, Pratham Seshadri, Prakriti Prasad, Lakshmi Chandrasekhar and others are in the cast.
