Akshay to enter Mumbai distribution circuit

It is now almost certain that Akshay Kumar will set up a film distribution enterprise in Mumbai.

Some time ago, Akshay was interested in taking up the distribution rights of Vipul Shah's "Waqt". Recently he went out of his way to help a fellow producer, Lalli, by distributing his film in the Mumbai circuit.

Akshay and Shah have maintained a discreet silence about the distribution of "Waqt - Race Against Time", which is inspired by the Gujarati play, "Aavjo Whala Phari Malishu".

"I wouldn't like to talk about it yet. But Akshay has some great release plans for the film,"

The buzz is there are some very intense father-son moments in the film between Amitabh Bachchan and Akshay. On New Year's Eve, Shah introduced an Archies' "Waqt" collection with "Dear father" and "Dear Son" cards containing autographed messages from Bachchan and Akshay.

"My film talks about the special bond between a father and son and these cards are a perfect way of saying how much you care," Shah said at the time.

Meanwhile, with some great films in his kitty, Akshay's career is going from strength to strength. The latest is Raj Kanwar's "Hum Ko Deewane Kar Gaye" opposite Katrina Kaif.
