Eminent South filmmaker Shanker and superstar Vikram make a lethal combination. Remember the duo`s mindboggling ANNIYAN (Tamil) that was dubbed as APARICHIT in Hindi.
Though the original movie broke all box office records and also fetched the prestigious Filmfare and Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Director to Shanker but alas the Hindi version was dud at the box office. Despite being a superb movie with such a hard hitting massage the Hindi version of the movie was a huge debacle, probably because of its poor promotion in Mumbai. Hence the filmmakers are leaving no stone unturned to make the Hindi version of Shanker and Vikrams upcoming movie I` a success.
In a bid to reach across the country, actor Vikram promoted his movie I` on Salman Khan`s hit television reality show Bigg Boss 8 thus becoming the first South Indian film to be promoted on Bigg Boss.
Salman Khan bowled over by the incredible special effects of the movie I` and Vikram`s powerhouse performance bestowed praises on both Vikram and the director Shanker after the trailer of the movie was released on the show.
Applauding Vikram for his mindboggling performance he said, "I am really enthralled by Vikram`s marvelous performance in the movies. He has brilliantly played the four different roles with astounding elegance."
While Vikram spoke in English during the show, Salman Khan gave him lessons in Hindi and got Vikram deliver few of his most hit dialogues in Hindi. In return Vikram taught Salman Khan Tamil and helped him speak his famous DABANGG dialogue in Tamil, sending the audience into peals of laughter!
I` is a Tamil romantic thriller that is being dubbed in Telugu, Hindi and many other foreign languages. The movie has been shot mainly in China. The movie is produced by V Ravichandran at whopping budget of 100 crore.
