Shreyas Talpade supports Pune Marathas team for Champions Tennis League

Shreyas Talpade is the latest Bollywood celebrity to join the trend of leading Bollywood Actors taking active interest in sports. The versatile actor has become the face of Mysport owned Pune Marathas in the Vijay Amritraj promoted Champion Tennis League. The Pune franchise is represented by Tennis Legends and Stars Pat Cash, Marcos Baghdatis, Agnieszka Radwanska and Saketh Myneni.
The Logo of Pune Maratha`s was unveiled by Mr GulabRao Pol the former Commissioner of Police in the presence of Tennis Maestro and Legend Vijay Amritraj, Milind Tamanhe the principal of the Pune Franchise, MSLTA Hon. Secretary Sunder Iyer and Shreyas Talpade in Pune today. Shreyas Talpade will help promote the sport and is an ardent fan of Tennis and follows the game closely. Talking on the occasion Shreyas said, "Am really honored to be associated with Pune Marathas and have always been a fan of the sport and follow it closely. Infact in my growing up days I always wanted to play the game but at that time it was considered an elitist sport which we could not afford. Tennis over the years has seen a dramatic change not just growing by leaps and bound but has also become very accessible to all in India. It is tournaments like this that I believe will help it grow even bigger, getting larger audiences attracted to the game."
The Champions` Tennis League Tournament has been designed in a very unique way, combining current players and legends. The Pune leg of the matches will be played at the Chatrapathi Shivaji Sports Tennis Complex on 23rd November 2014 between Pune and Hyderabad and on 24th November 2014 between Pune and Bangalore from 6 pm onwards. Additionally, Pune Marathas will play their first match versus Hyderabad on 18th November 2014 and their next match against Bangalore on 20th November 2014 at Bangalore. Shreyas Talpade will be seen next in the highly anticipated Marathi`s first vigilante Film Baji` which is slated for a 6th February 2015 release.
