Silambarasan’s Manmadhan has made history by becoming the first Tamil film to be post produced entirely in the Digital Immediate (DI) Route in the country.

DI is a stage in the film making process where all shot material is stored and available digitally for post production.

The technology facilitates post production process and takes the creative potential of a project to previously inconceivable levels.

Many Hollywood movies like Van Helsing, Lord of the Rings and O Brother have opted for this technology.

Prasad EFX Studios that had used this technology for Hindi movies Khakee and Lakshaya and Telugu film Sri Anjaneyam have done this for Manmadhan.

On the technology, Silambarasan says, "visual effects and colour correction can be done effectively using DI. The final output of my Mandmadhan has amazed me".
