Many of life's attractions come in pairs. Sun and moon. Rhythm and lilt. Sweet and sour.

In films, too, pairings have been equally attention-drawing.

Be it Kamal-Sridevi, Chiranjeevi-Vijayshanthi, Nageswara Rao-Vani Sri, the success lies in the innate chemistry between the couples.

Jagapathi Babu and Kalyani have not exactly reached that exalted status. But they are surely on their way.

The duo has struck a rich rapport. Their natural understanding was more than evident in both Kabaddi, Kabaddi and Pedababu.

So it is natural that they are cast again for a new film named Pandem.

Directed by a newcomer, the film is already on the floors. The unit hands cannot but talk about the spontaneous professionalism of the duo. "They are such a fine pair," gushes a unit hand.

Jagapathi Babu, coming after the hit of Peddababu, is working extra hard while Kalyani, who is to tie the knot soon with director Surya Kiran, is dignified and devoted.

Their screen presence is very good, they say. Looks like Pandem (wager) is a safe bet.

As the cliche goes, it takes two to tango.
