Now a Tamil film star is set to emulate Nata Mullick - the man who hanged rapist-murderer Dhananjoy Chatterjee - for a silver screen role.

Sathyaraj, the veteran and versatile star who has played hero as well as villain in his career, plans to visit Kolkata to meet the hangman.

Sathyaraj is playing the role of a hangman in a film titled "Perumalsamy", being directed by Harirajan who will accompany the star to the West Bengal capital.

He has a double role in the film, as both hero and villain. The hero, incidentally, is the hangman.

Publicity managers for "Perumalsamy" claim that this will be the first Indian film to feature a hangman as a hero.

Sibiraj, son of Sathyaraj, plays the star's son in the film too. The father-son duo had acted earlier in "Jore".

Sathyaraj and Harirajan had teamed up earlier in "Iyer IPS", which was widely noticed.
