Actress Shirin who starred opposite Dhanush in his debut film in ‘Thullvadho Ilamai’ and went on to act in a few more hit films in the first half of the previous decade, is making a comeback to Tamil film with Udhayanidhi Stalin’s Nanbenda.

Shirin was last seen in Tamil in the film titled ‘Poova Thalaiya’ that released four years ago. In the meantime she has been acting in Kannada films. In ‘Nanbenda’ directed by debutante Jagadish, Shirin is said to play a crucial role.

Jagadish has confirmed the inclusion of Shirin in his film. While Nayanthara plays the lead female character Shirin plays the girl who develops a one sided love for the lead man played by Udhayanidhi in the film. The director also said that Shirin is a talented actor and he feels happy to have her in his maiden film.

Meanwhile ‘Nanbenda’ produced by Udhayanidhi Stalin under Red Giant Movies banner is progressing at brisk pace with major portions being canned in Kumbakonam. Music is scored by Harris Jayaraj and Balasubramaneim cranks the camera.
