Tamil star Vijaykanth is a troubled man these days.

His latest offering in Tamil Gajendra is a major disaster. His political dreams also seem to have soured. As president of artistes’ association, he is also not having the best time as his secretary Sarath Kumar has just resigned.

In short, this is just not the time for taking any major decisions.

But he looks to have one now. The big burly star who wears his Tamil pride on his sleeve and has made a career of not acting in other language films, is all set to act in Telugu film.

The buzz in Tollywood these days is that Vijayakanth will act, for the time ever, in a direct Telugu film (his dubbed films have been popular in Andhra), under the baton of V V Vinayak.

According to reports the swarthy actor would play an important role in Vinayak's mass film with Allu Arjun as hero.

Though the film has already gone on to the floors, the unit is tight-lipped about Vijayakanth. The actor himself was unavailable for comments.

Any way, looks like the last Tamil bastion too has fallen.
