Post ‘Ram Leela’, filmmakers were vying with each other to cast the superhit and sizzling Jodi of Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone. While Sanjay Leela Bhansali who is credited for presenting this couple with his ‘Ram Leela’ film, was planning to cast the two actors in his much delayed project ‘Bajirao Mastani’, the one who took away the cake is ‘Agneepath’ makers.

Buzz is that Karan Malhotra has finalised Ranveer as the lead hero for his much hyped project ‘Shuddhi’, which had earlier Hrithik Roshan in lead. The Dharma Productions’ venture had been in news for quite sometime for having Hrithik and Kareena Kapoor-Khan initially in the lead. However since both opted out of the project citing personal and date issues, the makers rounded on the B-Town’s alleged lovebirds Ranveer and Deepika.
