A writer, director and actor - multi-talented Rajat Kapoor is known to adorn various hats all at the same time. He has distinct filmmaking sensibilities which over the years have earned him accolades from critics and audiences.

It can be taken into account that Rajat’s stories largely stem from his personal experiences. However, even though he writes the story he prefers not to play the protagonist in the films he directs. He plays the support cast in these films, however does not play the main lead.

Our source observed that even though Rajat would know the nuances of this character well, he feels that another actor would bring on table a different perspective, a different emotion. Plus he prefers to concentrate on his direction and various other aspects of filmmaking.

Once again in his upcoming film, ‘Ankhon Dekhi’ while he has written the film and is also directing it while Sanjay Mishra is playing the protagonist.
