The current ambition of Vikram, who has won the national award for the best actor for 2003 for his role as a gravedigger in ‘Pithamagan’, is to help create a ‘period piece’ in Tamil cinema.

The film will be based on an English novel, which depicts some events in eighteenth-century India, say Vikram’s close friends.

Vikram will pay greater attention to the project after completing his shooting for ‘Anniyan’.
