All apprehensions came true when it came to the box office response towards 'One By Two'. The film had mainly two things that could have helped it gain some good footfalls - a) audience word of mouth and b) critical acclaim. Unfortunately though, none of that went in favor of this Abhay Deol production which saw empty auditoriums greeting it.

Even as Friday came to a close, the writing was clear on the wall. While critics totally panned the film, the audience word of mouth wasn't favorable either, which didn't spell good news for those who had invested in it. It was clear that they were not in mood to check out what the romcom had to offer.

All of this means there was no real escalation in collections as the weekend came to a close. With just around 2 crore coming in, the film is a major flop at the box office. For Abhay Deol this is double the blow since he has not just acted in the film but also produced it. One now looks forward to the talented actor being seen in more acting assignments soon since he has been doing it well in that department over the years. As for leading lady Preeti Desai one waits to see what she picks up next.

As for 'One By Two', the film would be out of theatres in quick time since 'Hasee Toh Phasee' as well as 'Heartless', 'Ya Rab' and 'Babloo Happy Hai' would hit the screens on the coming Friday with some prints of 'Jai Ho' in circulation as well.
