With "Ghagra" song she left people asking for more... And so, she came back to continue what is she best known for - dancing. Madhur Dixit-Nene, who plays the role of courtesan Begum Para in Dedh Ishqiya, is eagerly waiting for the films release.
While Ishiqya turned on the boldness in Vidya Balan, one wonders how an actress of such humble stature as Madhuri said yes to realistic film of Abhishek Chaubey. Referring to her Mrityudand days when she was questioned for taking a different route, Madhuri said that such movies challenge her and so she did it. Similar was the case with Dedh Ishqiya. "When this film was offered to me, I thought I will be comfortable with Begum Para," justified the actress in an interview.
When asked about her views on the lack of work scope for married actress in industry, she is quick to defend that they do have enough opportunities to continue acting. Stressing that married women always get roles in cinema, Madhuri cited that veteran actresses like Rakhi, Sharmila Tagore and Meena Kumari, Madhuri were all working after marriage. However she points out that there are some heroines who took a sabbatical, "but they themselves decided that they didn't want to work after marriage".
