Simran, the South Indian screen Diva who ruled the Telugu and Tamil commercial cinema and acted besides all the top names including Chiranjeevi, Bala Krishna, Venkatesh and Nagarjuna and gave superhits with each one of them has faded out after a brief affair with Kamal Hassan and then her marriage. Though she has appeared in a few special roles, it can be said her prime was over.

News is that she is making a comeback of sorts with Yash Raj Films' Nani starrer 'Aha Kalyanam', a Telugu, Tamil bilingual. Though the details of her role are not disclosed, it can be asuumed that it would have an importance. It will be interesting to see if its a one off such case or if it would eb a launching pad for her to continue to act now.

Director said 'Two families that were estranged thanks to a gross misunderstanding are reunited again and the story is told in a youth centric voice'. The film is to hit the floors soon.
