‘King of Kotha’ is an upcoming gangster action film directed by Abhilash Joshiy, with Dulquer Salmaan as the lead actor. The Karaikudi schedule of Dulquer Salmaan's King of Kotha, which lasted for 95 days and involved shooting of major portions of the film, was recently completed. However, a brief schedule still needs to be done to wrap up the entire shoot. After a break, the team will head to North India for the final leg, which is expected to take around 10 days.

Directed by debutant Abhilash Joshiy, son of veteran filmmaker Joshiy, King of Kotha is a gangster drama spanning different timelines, scripted by Abhilash N Chandran of Porinju Mariam Jose fame. Dulquer is paired with Aishwarya Lekshmi, while the cast also includes Shabeer Kallarakkal from Sarpatta Parambarai, Chemban Vinod Jose, Nyla Usha, Prasanna, Gokul Suresh, and Sudhi Koppa. Ritika Singh, known for her performances in Irudhi Suttru and Oh My Kadavule, will feature in a special dance number. Nimish Ravi serves as the film's cameraman, while Shyam Sasidharan is responsible for editing. Jakes Bejoy and Shaan Rahman have composed the film's songs.

King of Kotha is a joint production between Dulquer's Wayfarer Films and Zee Studios and is set to release on Onam 2023 in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, and Kannada.
