The OTT business is really booming and several mainstream Bollywood stars are making their move towards the new entertainment medium. Despite not being very keen about the digital releases of his movies, Ajay Devagan announced his debut web series a few weeks ago. The dark and gritty crime drama titled 'Rudra' will be an official remake of the British show 'Luther'.

The reports suggest that the much anticipated show will go on floors next month and the filming will take place on several locations in Mumbai. It is also reported that South Indian actress Raashii Khanna has been roped in as the female lead. The actress will also star in Shahid Kapoor's debut web series.

At the time of announcement of 'Rudra', Bollywood Hungama reported, "Ajay Devgn will be seen in an intense and gritty new cop avatar as he makes his grand entry into the digital space with his first-ever crime-drama series titled Rudra – The Edge of Darkness, coming soon on Disney+ Hotstar VIP. The Hotstar Specials series will soon be going into production and will be shot across iconic locales of Mumbai."
