The dream team is coming back for the third time. Finally we have got some reliable information that the Superstar Rajinikannth and star director Shankar will be joining hands again for the sequel of their 2010 sci-fi blockbuster film Enthiran`.

The talks on Enthiran 2 has been doing the rounds for the past one and half years and it was expected that Rajini will take that up after the release of Kochadaiiyaan which released in May last year, after a four year gap in his career. However Rajini preferred doing a quickie Lingaa` with K.S.Ravikumar and now he has joined surprised everyone by opting for young director Ranjith . The Rajini-Ranjith film is expected to go on floors from August.

Howver the pre-production work on Enthiran 2`also seems to be afoot. Sources say that Muthuraj and Srinivas Mohan have been signed up as Art director and VFX technician respectively and both of them have started their works for the film. Director Shankar who is fresh out of the stupendous success of I` seems to be giving final touches to the script and searching the right locations for the film. The veteran director will ensure all things are on place to start shooting the film soon after Rajini completes his film with Ranjith.

Writer Sujatha who has been the backbone of Enthiran` is no more. However Shankar with his eye for talent seems to be opted for another prolific writer Jeyamohan to write dialogues for its sequel.

The source adds that Enthiran 2`will be produced by Lyca Entertainments who entered Kollywood with a bang called Kaththi`. Music will be scored by double Oscar winner A.R.Rahman who has been the favourite of Rajini and Shankar and also the more importantly a world acclaimed composer who can get that extra momentum for the film, in international circles. .

That`s a great news for entire movie buffs and let`s start counting the days for what would be the biggest project ever in Tamil Cinema to unfurl in silverscreen.
