Chennai city's share in this is 1.7 crores while theatres in Coimbatore have fetched a collection of Rs.1.8 crores. Chengalpet has contributed Rs.3.1 crores while theatres in Tirunelveli and Kanyakumari have collected Rs.45 lakhs.

Adhi's debut film as the hero and director has collected Rs.5.6 from theatricals across Tamil Nadu in its first three day weekend. This included Rs.54 lakhs from Chennai, Rs,71 lakhs from Coimbatore and Rs.98 lakhs from Chengalpet.

Though both the films had a huge pre-release buzz it is said that the tremendous performance of 'VV' and 'MM' is a surprise that too at a time when the ticket prizes have been increased after GST.
