As a big boost to the Film industry, the finance minister Piyush Goyal announced in the Budget 2019 that a single clearance window will be made available for Indian filmmakers which was only availed by foreign crews until now. The time taken to get permission to shoot in exotic and heritage locations on Indian soil will come down drastically.

Goyal added that anti cam-cording provision will be introduced to the Cinematography Act to fight piracy. This is a huge step against the piracy issue that especially Tamil cinema is facing that affects the collections of a film to a great extent.
