Udhayanidhi Stalin has made a strong impression as an actor with his recent release 'Manithan' which has turned out to be a critically acclaimed super hit. The film also completed 50 days in theaters, which is a landmark achievement in these days.

After this Udhay was supposed to do a film with director Suseenthiran but that has been postponed and the latter has started another film with Vishnu Vishal. Now here comes a buzz about who will be the director of Udhay's next as a hero.

We learn from reliable sources that director Ezhil, fresh after delivering the super hit comedy 'Velainu Vandhutta Vellaikaaran' will be directing his next film with Udhay in the lead role and this film will be bankrolled by the latter's Red Giant Movies banner.

It is to be noted that Ezhil who started out as a director of super hit love stories with Vijay ('Thulladha Manamum Thullum) and Ajith (Poovellam Un Vaasam) has turned out to be a master of minimum guarantee comedy entertainers, and all of his films in the recent years such as 'Manam Kothi Paravai', 'Desingu Raja', 'Vellaikara Durai' and 'VVV' have been commercially successful. So can we expect a same kind of comedy oriented film with Udhay?
