Mollywood is passing through one of the best years in this decade with many films gaining commercial success at the Box Office. As the Mohanlal blockbuster 'Run Baby run' is having a fine run at the Box Office, two films released a couple of week ago is having good viewership in release centres and is already declared success stories.

The upset hit of the year is undoubtedly the new V K Prakash film 'Trivandrum lodge' . With its share of bold explicit sexual talk, the movie was earlier expected to drop within a few days. But for the surprise of the trade, the movie is now greatly applauded by the audiences, particularly the young generation. Even a lot of female audiences were seen on theatres in the last few days especially in the metro centres, which will make this movie a fine hit.

Saji Surendran's 'Husbands in Goa' started well and was onto a good first week. But the week two saw some shaky collections for this family comic thriller. The movie is expected to bring in the needed revenue to be declared another hit of the year.
Meanwhile the craze on the Onam movies has gradually dwindled down. Mammooty starrer ‘Thappana’ just managed to run for a fifty days with around a 6,500 shows in the release centres. With the collections during the Onam season Mammotty was able to find another average earner, in fact after a gap of 20 months from his last hit 'Best Actor'. Dileep' s ‘Mr Marumakan’ also ended up as an average flick from it’s initial hit status , finding it difficult to run more than a fifty days. The movie completed 8000 shows in its release centres.

Mohanlal's "Run baby Run' is undoubtedly the Onam winner. The movie was able to keep the Box Office ringing for the first three weeks with 7000 shows and was expected to become another bet for record collections But the week four and five saw the movie stumbling. The movie now continues in 15 centres in its sixth week though some centres have reduced shows.
