In today's modern world where technology has overtaken human-beings, cell phones have become a necessary thing. It connects people across the globe. But it has got some flipsides too.
Director K Paneerselvam has tried to throw light on troubles a man face thanks to his cell phone forms the crux of the movie.
In a nutshell, the film is about a man caught in cross wire between a suspicious wife and his girl friend. Vikramaditya plays the lead role with 'Veyyil' fame Priyanka cast as his suspicious wife.
The former has tried his best to play a playboy in the first half and a reformed man in the latter part of the movie. Looks good in romantic scenes, Vikramaditya should do more home work especially to get his act right in emotional sequences.
Priyanka has continued from where she left in Veyyil. She has given the right emotions on screen. She has understood her character well. Debutants Arthi and Divya have a part to play. Karunaas as comedian fails to tickle the funny bone.
The movie revolves around Vedachala alias Veda (Vikramaditya), who continues to lead a playboy life even after his marriage with Anita (Priyanka). Thanks to his cellphone, Anita comes to know of his illicit affair with Reema (Divya). Life takes a turn for Veda.
Did he set his house in order forms the crux.
Paneerselvam needs to be commended for thinking out-of-the-box. Unfortunately the execution goes haywire. The second half is too lengthy.
On the whole Thollaipesi is a movie that rings different tunes.
