Actor Ajith Kumar's 'Vivegam' released on August 4, 2017 and the film has completed one full week at the Box Office. IndiaGlitz brings you the details of collections made by the Siva directed flick in Chennai city.

Sources close to Chennai Box office trade circles reveal that 'Vivegam' has collected Rs.7.14 crores in Chennai in its first week. This is the highest First Week collection made by a film in Chennai beating Superstar Rajinikanth's 'Kabali' which had collected Rs.6.95 crores last year in its first week. However, it must be noted that during the release of 'Kabali' the maximum ticket price was Rs.120 which has been increased to Rs.153.60 almost a month prior to the release of 'Vivegam'.

With this, 'Vivegam' also becomes Ajith's highest grosser in Chennai, beating 'Vedalam' with Rs.7.10 crores in its life time run in Chennai. It must also be noted that 'Vedalam' collection would have been higher if it was not affected by the severe rains that culminated as a Deluge in Chennai in December 2015.

'Vivegam' also becomes the fifth 6+ crore grosser for Ajith in Chennai.

Stay tuned to this space for the updates on Tamil Nadu and Worldwide collections made by by 'Vivegam' in Chennai in its first week.
