Director Suseenthiran's 'Maveeran Kittu' will be hitting the screens this Friday (December 2) amid huge expectations. This is period flick stars Vishnu Vishal, Sridivya, Parthiban, Harish Uthaman, Soori and many others and D.Imman has rendered the music score.

Ever since the title was announced people started linking it with the Elam struggle of Sri Lanka and a warrior with the same name who sacrificed his life for the cause. Suseenthiran clarified that the film has nothing to do with Eelam struggle. It is a period film set in 1980s and it is about a warrior who struggled to uphold the rights of Tamil people in this land.

Now the 'Pandiyanadu' director has revealed a real life incident that prompted him to make this film.

"A few months back I went to a shopping complex. Suddenly a fan came forward to me and requested me to do a film that will make every Tamilan feel proud. His words made me think about it for a long time. That's how 'Maveeran Kittu' happened. I am pretty confident that this will be a significant film in India Cinema. I feel proud as a Tamilan to have made this film. I also convey my thanks to that fan for inspiring me to make this film. "

With the director's words we can be assured that 'Maveeran Kittu' will be the pride of every Tamilan and it be a landmark in the careers of everyone involved in the film.
