Here comes the most expected announcement on the official release date of actor Suriya 'S3' directed by Hari. As promised yesterday, the makers have made the announcement on the social media page promptly at 5 PM IST today.

'S3' will be hitting the screens on December 16, 2016 . The announcement comes from K.E.Gnanavel Raja who has produced the film under his Studio Green banner.

This puts an end to the series of speculations over the release date. Initially it was being said that the film will be releasing in September or October and later it was rumored that the film will hit the screens as a Diwali treat in October last week. But last week it became clear that the film will release only in December.

'S3' is the fifth film from the successful combination of Suriya and Hari and the third for the blockbuster 'Singam' series. The third part will retain almost all the actors who have acted in the first and second parts released in 2010 and 2013 respectively, including the gorgeous heroine Anushka.

Shruti Haasan has been added for a pivotal character. Soori, Robo Shankar, Radika Sarathkumar, Singer Krish, Chaams and a few other actors have are also acting in 'S3' apart from those who acted in the first two parts.

Harris Jayaraj has rendered the musical score for the film and the announcement on the audio release date is expected soon.
