After a gap of close to six months Superstar Rajinikanth has resumed work on Shankar`s 2.0` touted as the costliest Indian film ever. Amy Jackson plays the love interest of Rajini while Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar, Adhil Hussain, Riaz Khan and other prominent actors are in the cast.

In 2.0` Rajini will be combating huge birds created using animatronics technology by the Hollywood company Legacy Effects. It may be noted that in photos released by the team, Akshay Kumar`s look too resembles a bird. The film is fast progressing and will complete shooting by the end of the year and enter post production. Music is by A.R. Rahman, cinematography by Nirav Shah, editing by Anthony, production design by T. Muthuraj and presented by Lyca Films.
