Sidharth who worked as an Assitant to Director Mani Ratnam in the film Aayudha Ezhuthu has not plans to wear the director’s hat any sooner. Then why the title? As per sources SIdharth may be directing the Pannaiyarum Padmnium not in reality but in his upcoming film Jigarthanda, directed by Karthik Subbaraj.

In the film Siddharth has acted as an aspiring film-maker and Vijay Sethupathi acts has himself in an extended cameo. Lakshmi Menon has paired up with SIdharth in the film and she acts as a college student.
