Veteran actor Sarathkumar played a brief but powerful character as a Traffic Police commissioner in the critically acclaimed film 'Chennaiyil Oru Naal' released in 2013. That film is more about the awareness on Organ Donation and the thrilling part is about the transport of a heart from Chennai to Vellore

However from its teaser, 'Chennayil Oru Naal 2' which is set in Coimbatore looks like more of mystery thriller flick. Sarathkumar again plays a police officer in this film, a character which he has mastered over the decades. He is as fit as ever for the role and makes a mark in emotions too.

Popular actors Suhasini Mani Ratnam and Napoleon have joined Sarathkumar in this sequel playing important roles.

The teaser looks slick with apt rerecording and intriguing lighting of cinematographer Vijay Deepak and fast paced cuts of Gopi Prasanna.
