A few months back, when Samantha was replaced by Amala Paul in director Vetrimaran's dream project trilogy 'Vada Chennai' there were strong rumors that the young and talented actress will call it quits for acting as she is going to enter wedlock with Tollywood star Naga Chaitanya.

But the actress rubbished the rumor in style. Producer RD Raja while announcing his third production venture with Sivakarthikeyan and director Ponram confirmed that Samantha has been signed up to play the lead role.

Now it is almost confirmed that Samantha will pair up for the first time with Vishal. Sources reveal that Samantha has been offered the female lead role in Vishal's film with debutant director Mithran which has been titled as 'Irumbu Thirai'. The source also adds that the 'Theri' girl has given her nod to star in it.

We can expect an official announcement soon.

Samantha has not confirmed anything about her marriage plan but she has made a clear statement that she will be ruling Kollywood for years to come.
