After the blockbuster 'Iru Mugan', actor Vikram has now committed to do a film directed by Vijay Chander for a relatively new producer.

During the audio launch of 'Iru Mugan' it was announced that Vikram will team up again with its producer Shibu Thameens for the sequel of his 2003 blockbuster 'Saamy' to be directed by Hari.

It has been several months since the announcement was made and there is not any update about the progress of the much expected sequel. This lead to rumors that 'Saamy 2' has been temporarily shelved.

However Shibu has put a fullstop to this rumor by confirming the the project is very much on. The young producer has said that director Hari is presently busy penning the screenplay for the film with a team of eight members. The film will go on floors in April 2017. Harris Jayaraj will be rendering the musical score for this film.

That's a fantastic news to start this Thursday.
