The ‘Cyanide’ film director AMR Ramesh directorial venture ‘Police Quarters’ and ‘Minugu’ are the contenders in the box office with another low key film ‘Naan Madidh Thappa’ on the New Year Day.

AMR Ramesh ‘Police Quarters’ dedicated to the Karnataka Police is based on real life incident in 1992 after the Babri Masjid incident that lead to high communal tension. ‘Police Quarters’ is made in Kannada and Tamil by S.Lad Entertainment Limited. The Kannada language ‘Police Quarters’ is hitting the screen on January 1. James Vasanthan has done the lovely music for this film and Dwarakanth is the cameraman. Aneesh, Dilipraj, Sonu, Avinash and others are in the cast. This film is shot in the actual police quarters of Bangalore by the director AMR Ramesh.

It is a testing time for ‘Mungaru Male’ heroine Pooja Gandhi as the top actress first release is on the first day of the year 2010. Pooja Gandhi plays actress in the film with Sunil Rao who is coming back after four years. Ajith Hande is another theatre actor making debut in this film produced by Gajendra. Anthony Jayavanth is the debutant director. Gopu has scored the music. Satishkumar is the cameraman of this film.

‘Naan Madidh Thappa’ that failed to get proper theatres in the last week is releasing this week. To err is human is the concept of ‘Naan Madidh Thappa’ Kannada film. How to over come the error is what the newcomer Veerendra Patil in his debut direction shows on the screen. Kantharaj and Rajasekhar have jointly produced ‘Naan Madidh Thappa’ Jaggi alias Jagadish is in the lead with Kavyasri. Jaggi has acted in sundry roles in seven Kannada films. He is the one who make a mistake and question to himself whether he has done it right or wrong.
