Umesh Kesavan an IAS Graduate from Tamil Nadu has been posted as the Assitant Collector of Palakkad, Kerala recently. A couple of days back he had visited Attappadi, at tribal village in Palakkad district and he has learnt how Ilayathalapathy Vijay has reached the village which has no traces of modern development.

Here is the Facebook post of Umesh detailing how Vijay remains the only source of joy for the people of Attappadi(Link given below)

Umesh has later revealed that he has contacted Vijay's office to invite him for the village and increase awareness about the importance of Education among the people of Attappadi as most of the youngsters living there have discontinued education after eighth standard..

We can be assured that Vijay who always genuinely cares for his fans will do his best to uplift the village and its people who watch his films despite not having the basic infrastructure to live peacefully.
