Actress Nayanthara has signed to play the lead role of a film that will be produced by K.E.Gnanavel Raja of Studio Green. This will be a super natural thriller that will be directed by debutante Ashwin.

The shooting of the film is all set to begin in Chennai from next week. Actor Aari of ‘Nedunjalai’ fame will be seen in a pivotal role. Sathya who worked in director Mysskin’s ‘Yudham Sei’ has been roped in to crank the camera. The remaining cast and crew details will be announced soon.

The supernatural thriller will be a quickie and Nayanthara has reportedly given bulk dates for the film. Nayanthara is currently busy with ‘Idhu Namma Aalu’, ‘Nanbenda’ and ‘Thani Oruvan’. All these films are on various stages of production. She has also signed to play the female lead opposite Suriya in the film that will be directed by Venkat Prabhu.

Nayanthara is thrilled to be part of a supernatural thriller that is also heroine centric. She has earlier acted in ‘Nee Enge En Anbe’, another heroine centric thriller which was also the remake of a Bollywood film ‘Kahani’. The film won critical acclaims and the actress was much appreciated for the way she had pulled of the role.
