A traditional title ‘Nathicharami’ went on the floors on Monday morning at Sri Dharmagiri Manjunatha Swamy temple in Banashankeri. Politician NR Ramesh, national award winning actor Sanchari Vijay, noted producer K Manju were guests for the muhurut of ‘Nathicharami’.

Mansore director of national award winning ‘Harivu’ Kannada cinema almost dropped the idea of his second film because of getting producer and compromise was difficult to his mindset. At the last minute for the subject of Smt Sandhyarani and dialogues producer Jagamohan Reddy and team gave free hand for making the film. Mansore second film ‘Nathicharami’ is a traditional and modern day’s mix in the content.

The Sanskrit word ‘Nathicharami’ is used before the Mangalasuthra is tied by the boy to the girl. The meaning of it is ‘I Promise’. This promise made is diluting today because of various pressures in life. Then how to bring back the actual meaning of it in real life is the thought of writer Sandhyarani. It is first script of Sandhyarani. She has written script for some of the stage plays in the past.

In the present generation why we have gone back on such promise made?  Director Mansore explains it in the life of a traditional family in urban life – the city traffic, personal life; professional life compels the female protagonist to forget ‘Nathicharami’ meaning. How she handle the situation is explained in this film. Another meaning of ‘Nathicharami’ the female protagonist would come to know.

It is a woman centric cinema and talented actress Shruthi Hariharan in the role of Gowri Mahesh says this is interesting role in her career of five years. I have scope to give good performance. Actress always looks for happiness in the role. This is one such. What she wants and her compulsions are portrayed in the film. She gets the new meaning in life and such things would have happened to many in the society.

Produce Jaganmohan Reddygaru is investing on this film. He is a contract businessman. This is the first script of Smt Sandhya for the film. She had done script work for stage plays.

There will be sink sound for this film says Mahaveer, music composer is Bindhu Malini, Guruprasad is cameraman, Balaji Manohar as psychiatrist, Gopalakrishna Deshpande, Sharanya, Pawan, Vallabha, Shwetha Srinivas, Grishma Sridhar, Harshil and others are in the cast.
