Veterans and Trainees from Judiciary Praise Vetrimaran's 'Visaranai'

Director Vetrimaran's 'Visaranai' which released a couple of weeks back is doing good business at the box office thanks to the phenomenal word of mouth it has generated. The film released in the local theatricals after screening in International film festivals and special screening for film industry celebrities and special guests from other walks of life.

On Sunday a special screening was arranged to eminent personalities from the department of Judiciary. A press release from the desk of Vetriamaran states "Honourable justice P. N. Prakash, Judge, High court of Madras/ Member, Board of Governors, Tamil Nadu State Academy, Chennai, watched 'Visaranai' with trainee civil judges. Director Vetrimaaran and writer Chandra Kumar were present for the screening and addressed the gathering after the screening. Justice Prakash appreciated the film and its crew."

Writer Chandrakumar was also present along with Vetrimaran during the screening. The film's first half was based on a Tamil novel 'Lockup' written by Chandrakumar aka Auto Chandran about his days of Police custody and the tortures meted out to him during the police interrogation.

Starring Dinesh. Anandi, Samuthirakani, Kishore, Aadukalam Murugadoss and many others, 'Visaranai' has been produced by Dhanush under his Wunderbar Films banner and released by Lyca Productions.
