Rajshri Productions, the ace production and distribution house from Bollywood is known for their sensitive, family oriented dramas that gave impetus to hundreds of soap operas on Hindi Television thus spinning billions of advertising Rupees for the past 15 years. The house also gave the industry Suraj Barjatya, the director with a huge emotional toolbox at his disposal and churned out one drama after another. The gen-next filmmaker from the Barjatya house, however, sought to a different design, detective and suspense drama.

Kavita Barjatya is producing a suspense- adventure film titled 'Samrat & Co' starring Rajeev Khandelwal who has been roped in to play the main lead Samrat & South siren Madalsa in the exciting project which has locked the date of1st May 2014 for release. Madalsa who hails from Kerala, was nominated as the most desirable woman in 2011 by Telugu Times and has done quite a few films down south including Tamil/Telugu/Kannada films. She also has a German film to her credit 'The Girl With the Indian Emeralds' Directed by Michael Karan (2013).

Specially targeting India's young audiences, 'Samrat And Co' is the first of its kind detective franchisee, wherein the very nuances of crime solving, human nature and the world of standalone private investigators will be presented on the big screen on a pure entertainment platform.

Directed by Kaushik Ghatak, 'Samrat And Co' is set to go on floors in the month of September 2013 with release on 1st May 2014.
