The movie 'Udta Punjab' is having a tough time at the Censor Board, seems like they are getting in the bad books of the people sitting there. Today it has been revealed that, there are a total of 13 cuts that CBFC has asked the makers of Udta Punjab` to apply. Among these are references to Punjab at various places, scene showing Tommy Singh (Shahid Kapoor) urinating before a crowd, a dog named Jacky Chain, a line which says Punjab Di Zameen Banjar aur Aualaad Kanjar(illegitimate).

You can read the list below that caters to the 13 cuts that have been put forward by CBFC.

1. Delete sign of Board of Punjab in the beginning.

2. Delete Punjab, Jalandhar, Chandigarh, Amritsar, Tarantaran, Jashanpura, Ambesar, Ludhiana and Molga to be deleted from background and dialogue wherever it occurs.

3. From song no. 1 delete the word Chiitave and H*r*mi everywhere.

4. From song no. 2 delete 'tom di c*ck jevhe chitti chitti c*ck' and 'c*ock' in the entire song.

5. Delete b****c**d, c**d, t*tt*, kutti, chusa hua aam, gashti etc.

6. Delete the word 'election', 'MP', 'party', 'MLA', 'Punjab', 'Parliament'

7. From song no 3, delete the visuals of scratching/itching side portion of Sardar.

8. Delete the close-up shots of injecting the drugs wherever it appears.

9. Delete the shot of urinating by Tommy in front of the crowd.

10. Delete the line 'Jamin Banzar te Aulad Kanjar'.

11. Delete the name of the dog as 'Jackie Chan'.

12. First disclaimer should be audio/video and to be changed as - 'The film focuses on the rising menace of drugs and war against drugs and is an attempt to show ill-effects of drugs on today`s youth and the social fabric. We acknowledge the battle against drugs being fought by the government and the police. But this battle cannot be won unless the people of India unite against the menace.

13. Second disclaimer of fiction to be increased according to audio/video.

We don't have much to say on this..but do give your opinion for a stand.

@shubhaS 9 names of cities is 9 cuts.. two words from songs are two cuts.. on the last count they were 94 cuts as per the 13 points..
